There's a silver lining to almost every cloud. Perhaps one sparkling ray to have come out of the disappearance of easy bank credit and the upheavals that has brought about is a reappraisal of what really counts in our lives. What really makes us happy?
In our line of work, the answers are fairly easy. Holidays are important: a chance to unwind, relax and be happy. Nobody thinks holidays should be "character building". They should be easy, stress free and joyous. Choosing, booking and taking a holiday shouldn't make you anxious.
So our job is simple - to do all we reasonably can to make sure you have happy holidays when you book through our firm. We do so by being very honest and straightforward. By publishing clear photos and accurate descriptions and by having knowledgeable staff to advise you who are not rewarded with sales commission. By carefully and regularly inspecting houses and upholding our industry leading standards of quality. By never overpromising (if anything, we understate) and absolutely delivering on the expectations we raise. All in all, by reducing the stress.
That approach has earned us a significant, faithful and growing fan club. Recently, the means by which we tell you about the properties we let has changed hugely. The web has given us undreamed of opportunities to "tell it like it is" even better: dozens of photos, mapping, information about local areas, personal recommendations, online availability and booking. It's wonderful technical sophistication and we've loved making the most of the opportunities the internet has presented. But the one thing we can't do through the web is also possibly the most important thing we do. That is to provide an unbiased, expert, sympathetic and trustworthy person with whom you can chat and ask, "Do you think this is the right place for me? Will I be happy there?" and from whom you know you will get a straight answer. Even as most other things do, that core of our business will never change; it is our touchstone and raison d'etre.
Welcome to Helpful Holidays.
