The World Heritage City of Bath will be playing host to a giant pride of 100 lions that can be seen by people staying in holiday cottages in Somerset over the next few months.
Some 100 individually decorated life size sculptures of the king of the jungle will be lining the streets of the city as part of a public art exhibition entitled
Lions of Bath, which runs until 30th October.
An eclectic mix of artists, including Lord Bath, Winter Olympics gold medallist Amy Williams and Sir Peter Blake, the designer of the Beatles' Sgt Pepper album cover, have taken part in the project.
Staged to raise funds for local charities and 'bring a smile to the faces of residents and visitors alike', according to organisers, the event will also feature lions decorated with images of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.
This is one of many events lined up in the city over the coming months as part of its summer of festivals, events and exhibitions.
