…we’ve packed away our winter woollies
and said goodbye to the last fling of snow and hail
and guess what, the old saying has been proved right; March
goes out like a lamb. With a roll of warm
sunny days, spring seems to be here offering almost
too much encouragement to the emerging spring flowers.
The days to Easter rush onwards but we
can still find you some lovely holiday homes
to stay in either for a week or just a weekend with each
one being regularly inspected by our sales
team so, with their expertise, we can find
one just right for you.

| The late Spring period heralds the start of the wonderfully
busy and varied events which are eagerly
anticipated across this beautiful region.

we’ll try and keep you ‘in the know’ as
the summer progresses. Why not get things underway in Cornwall?

…and it’s nearly
'Obby ‘Oss time again- but beware
the cider…
Join the revellers on May 1st and watch
in amazement the antics of two black-clothed hobby
horses, with big red eyes and snapping
teeth, as they dance through the streets of Padstow
and then the ‘Obby ‘Oss himself
leaves his stable at the Golden Lion to bring his
powers of fertility to the massing crowds.

enough – the Early Morning Dance. Then they dance
all through the day till 5. The principal dance is the Furry
Dance with the gentlemen dressed in Morning Coats
and the ladies in full length dresses.

…and lastly, we’d hate you to miss
it,
you might remember the International Worm Charming
Festival at Blackawton in the South Hams from last
year’s March newsletter. Well, it’s on May
6th this year. On moonlit nights they say you can
see them worms limbering up outside the
pub, practicing their wriggles…
L243
in the village is still available if you’d like to
catch this ‘charming’ event.

Just a word of warning, if you haven’t
been down to the far South West since last year. The roundabout
on the A30 between Exeter and Okehampton is no more
so watch out for the slip roads if you’re
heading for the Dartmoor villages or North
Devon. Many of the village names are still missing
from the signage but this will be rectified soon after Easter.

| Our local team of envelope stuffers will be assembling
again very soon here in Chagford to send out the second
