The 50th Anniversary Tall Ships Race 6th to 9th

Torbay will be celebrating in style before
the start of this famous race. The starting gun fires 5
miles off Berry Head so book a seat on
a pleasure boat to see them off.

Tavistock Food Festival 15th to 29th July
Tavistock claims the prize as the South
West’s foodie heaven. The town was recently crowned
Best Food Town in the South West competition 2006–2007.
This summer they’ll be holding a competition during
their July Festival to find the ‘Best Banger
in the West’! The Festival’s held under
cover with masses of high quality local food and
drink (and samples) and cookery demonstrations.

Helen recently completed a 13-mile
walk (in very hot weather) to raise a fantastic
£260 for Breast Cancer Research ...
David was able to complete a foggy 25-mile
sponsored horse ride across Dartmoor raising funds
for the Friends of the Dartmoor Hill Pony
charity. To see a show and sale of ponies
in aid of the charity visit Cornford Farm,
Poundsgate, near Widecombe on 28th July – all welcome.
