Rick Stein takes on the Cornish Arms…
With many pubs facing tough times it’s good to see Padstow chef Rick Stein becoming landlord of his local, The Cornish Arms at St Merryn. It will remain a welcoming traditional pub which also serves excellent food. Rick is the latest top chef to take on the tenancy of a St Austell Brewery pub after Paul Ripley, who worked with Rick for ten years, took up the reins at the St Kew Inn, near Wadebridge, in October last year.

Great Easter egg hunt at the Big Sheep…
Join the South West’s largest at the Big Sheep, 10th to 13th April. They’re hidden all over the place: in the brewery (for Dad), in the gift shop (for Mum) and in the play area (for the kids). And you can swap all the mini eggs you find for some much bigger ones. It’s also a great time to see and help feed the newborn lambs.

Having just read about all this family fun over Easter, don’t delay in talking to our telephone team (01647 433593) who are keen to help find the perfect spot for you and your family. We’d hate you to miss out on the cottage of your choice as, despite the economic ‘doom and gloom’ our holidays are selling well. We look forward to welcoming you to the West Country soon.
Best wishes,
Moray Bowater
