| The profile of locally grown and produced
South West food and drink has risen sharply
in recent years and food festivals are
becoming a major new attraction in the region.
While staying in one of our self-catering properties,
what better chance to experiment and
perhaps try a new recipe you’ve
just seen demonstrated by a celebrity chef.
In Plymouth, FlavourFest returns to
the city centre after a resoundingly successful launch
last year. There is the chance to sample venison,
ostrich, olives, goat’s cheese, and seafood plus
fresh organic meat and vegetables direct from the farm.
The festival runs for three days
from August 19th.
At Tavistock the Food and Drink
Festival takes place on 30th and 31st
July. 20 of the West’s leading cheese
makers will be present and a Jazz Band
will entertain visitors in the festival café.
