Families taking Cornwall holiday cottage breaks over the next few days will have an opportunity to step back in history thanks to a professional medieval joust taking place at the Arthurian Centre on 4th and 5th July.
The event will feature breathtaking action as mounted horsemen engage in the jousting competition, while others showcase their skills with ancient weaponry such as swords and bows and arrows.
Dubbed '
Medieval Joust - A Royal Tournament', the event will also feature falconry and hunting games as well as a forum for storytelling.
Visitors wishing to pick up a few skills while in the region can opt to try their hand at using a bow and arrow.
Other activities worth engaging in while at the tournament include visiting legendary King Arthur's last battle ground and an archaeological dig of a village dating from 1250.
Tickets for the event, which will also feature a hog roast and nightly music, cost £3 for adults and £2 for children.
