A beautiful Palladian property located in the South West is set to host the 2009
English National Sheep Dog Trials, which families staying in Devon holiday cottages in August may not want to miss.
Described by organisers as 'an event to remember', the trials will be held at Castle Hill, which is located near Barnstaple, from 21st August to the 23rd.
This is a great opportunity to watch sheepdogs at work as there is a lot at stake with the best performing dogs going on to be used for breeding.
Visitors to the showcase, which is being held as part of the Devon Country Fayre, will also be treated to a full programme of other exciting activities and entertainment.
While craft stalls will display items ideal for mementos from the South West, a food fair will present an opportunity for visitors to sample the region's culinary delights.
Self catering accommodation for the three day event can be obtained from cottage specialist Helpful Holidays, which has homes in the area.
