Plymouth Summer Festival has more lined up for Devon holiday cottage visitors

Tourists taking Devon holiday cottage breaks over the next three months will be glad to hear that an "exciting" second phase of the Plymouth Summer Festival has been launched with the addition of new events and activities.

A variety of events including music festivals and a marathon have already taken place since the festival's start in May and more are on the way.

These include the finish of the Rolex Fastnet Race on 11th and 12th August, Chicago at the Theatre Royal from 10th August and the Plymouth Flavour Fest, taking place from 14th to 16th August.

'We've got something for all the family, with many of the events free, so come and enjoy a day out in Plymouth and the huge variety of entertainment on offer,' said David Draffan, the managing director of Plymouth City Centre Company.

He went on to state that the variety of events on offer are 'a very powerful message' that the region is 'a must visit destination'.

Cottage expert Helpful Holidays has over 650 self catering holiday cottages to choose from, with properties located in Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire.
