Brympton D’Evercy: mainly Hamstone hamlet with one of the finest 16th /17th cent houses in the West Country (sadly not currently open) and lovely 15th cent church just west of Yeovil (busy town, leisure centre). Montacute House (Nat. Trust), 2 miles, and many other beautiful houses and exquisite villages all round. About 20 miles to the sea (Dorset coast). Pub, 1 mile; shops, ½ mile.
