The place:
Brixham: Torbay’s fishing port: beautiful busy harbour, fishermen’s cottages, narrow streets, stepped alleyways, shops, fish restaurant. Lots of beaches nearby (Goodrington Sands and Broadsands, 3 miles); indoor and open-air (sea) swimming pools, yacht marina. Cliff walks to Kingswear, 4 miles. Boats for hire. Launch trips to Torbay or Dartmouth. Golf, 2 miles. Torquay, 7.
The property:
... about a mile from the centre of Brixham, a pretty little cottage attached to the friendly owners’ house. Own entrance leads into beamed living/dining room (open fire, TV/DVD, books), and fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave). Up steepish stairs (rope rail) to two bedrooms - a twin, and a double; bathroom (suite). Outside, little patio and small lawn with barbecue and garden chairs. Useful bus stop within a few yards. No children under 6. |
