Please note:    There is now a broadband connection in the cottage. The owners have built a new laundry cabin that houses the tumble drier. Towels are now provided for all guests at no extra charge. The changeover day for this cottage is now Friday and NOT Saturday as is shown in the brochure. Current bookings are not affected. As this property is under new ownership the tortoises no longer live here and granny sitting is not available. The TV and DVD player have been upgraded but the video has been removed.

The place:
Trebles Holford: hamlet in beautiful wooded farmland a mile from West Bagborough (small village with pub on Quantock’s flank); 3 miles from Bishop’s Lydeard (attractive village, start of private steam railway to Minehead). Many footpaths; riding and golf locally.

The property:

... tucked away peacefully on the edge of Trebles Holford, two good, warm cottages surrounded by meadows. The friendly owners live nearby and you are welcome to enjoy their huge garden. Two tortoises, aged 100 and 75, live on a central grassy area. Lots of lovely walks: direct access to footpaths from the cottages, a 5 minute walk across fields to see steam trains, a safe walk to the railway station and 1 mile walk to a pub (remember torch!). Regular bus service to Taunton/Minehead and beyond, 300 yards. Granny-sitting available! A much appreciated place.

Sunset Cottage has been cleverly built on the far end of an ancient wagon barn and a high beamed roof attaches it to the owners' lovely house, all surrounded by the huge garden you are welcome to enjoy. Door into open-plan living/dining/fitted kitchen (washing machine, microwave) with TV/DVD/video and French windows opening to a patio (table/chairs). Loo (washbasin). Stairs up to a double bedroom (5’ bed) with exposed ceiling beams, great views of surrounding countryside and the antics of nesting swallows, and en suite bathroom (suite plus bath-shower). No children, except pre-crawling babies.
