Bratton Fleming: village (church, pub, PO/shop, tennis courts/snooker) of old and new dwellings, deep in rolling farmland on the south-west edge of Exmoor. Barnstaple (large town), 5 miles; glorious sand/surf beaches at Saunton (golf), Woolacombe and Croyde, 8-12 miles. Lynton and Lynmouth, 12 miles. Pony-trekking. Arlington Court (Nat. Trust), 4 miles.

… in Bratton Fleming, a splendid detached house with lovely long meadow/woodland views, surrounded by ¼ acre of enclosed garden. Inside, a great deal of love and care has provided a beautiful, modern, stylish home with simple, unfussy décor and a calming atmosphere. Big, height-of-house hall, designed for sunlight to stream in; big living room with lots of windows, open views, French window to garden (patio with table/chairs, gas barbecue), TV/DVD/video, CD player; large fitted kitchen/dining room (two dishwashers, microwave, freezer, large range cooker with gas hob, two larder fridges); utility room (two washer-driers, additional fridge). Step down to playroom with table football, games/toys. Four ground floor bedrooms - two double (5’ beds), one with en suite shower-room (suite), and two twin rooms, one with en suite bathroom (suite with corner bath), and the other with en suite shower-room (suite).

Stairs (stairgates) up to a galleried second living room (TV) with oak floor, and three more bedrooms – one double with en suite shower-room (suite), one twin, and one with four singles plus two pull-out truckles with en suite loo (washbasin); bathroom (suite plus bath-shower).

Professional catering available. Cautionary Deposit £200. Arrival after 4pm. This is an exceptional, restful house.
