The place:
Timberscombe: old village (friendly real ale pub) of ruby-red stone cottages in a farming valley flanked by wooded hillsides leading from Exmoor’s high lands via Dunster, 2½ miles away, to the sea. Minehead (small resort town with sandy beach, harbour, good golf, Butlins), 4½. Superb Exmoor walks and good horse riding.

The property:

… in the heart of Timberscombe, opposite the pub/church, a large, early Victorian terraced house, once a shop, then tea rooms and now thoroughly modernised with stylish flair by young owners. At the back, a large courtyard (picnic table, bench) with access through bike shed to small grassed garden. Large open-plan living/dining room with ash wood and slate floor, Habitat sofas, open fire, hand-crafted dining table and play corner (games); step up to fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer) with door to courtyard. Stairs up to four bedrooms – two double, one with 5’3" bed, and two single rooms; bathroom (suite plus hand-shower) and shower-room (suite). TV/DVD/video. Excellent house in stunningly beautiful area.
