The property:
… in Gorran Haven, right on the beach, a quirky 17th cent., Grade II listed, end-of-terrace cottage, seemingly bigger on the inside than outside. Once the local inn where (so local legend says) drunken customers were rolled out on to the beach to sober up! Now a great beach house, comfortably furnished and fantastically positioned for pub, shops, coastal path and, of course, beach.
Five high steps up from tiny lane to front door; hall (for coats/boots) with tiled floor and shower-room (suite). At this level, two twin bedrooms, one with floorboards/rugs, one with boiler cupboard (cosy); open narrow metal spiral staircase down to attractive open-plan living/dining/smart fitted kitchen with butler sink, woodburner, TV/DVD, ceiling beams and window at ground level looking straight on to the beach; large utility room/second kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, sink; beyond, 2 steps up to games room. Second spiral staircase from hall up to large double bedroom with 2 children's z-beds, exposed roof beams, cane armchairs, TV, CD player, books, great beach/sea views and en suite bathroom (suite with roll-top bath plus hand-shower).
Loading and unloading outside, public car park (extra) 150 yards, reasonably level walk.
Good family house, but not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.
