The place:
St Hilary: little, former mining village (granite cottages, church), 2 miles inland from Mounts Bay and St Michael’s Mount. Goldsithney (pretty village with two pubs, PO/shop), ½ mile. Praa Sands (golf), 3 miles.

The property:

... on the seaward edge of St Hilary, set well back from the B3280, a very pretty, 18th cent., thatched, detached, Grade II listed cottage (thatch is very unusual in west Cornwall) with a tree-sheltered garden at the front and meadows at the back and side. A track runs along one side, connecting with a number of footpaths/cycleways. From the garden, open porch to front door (5’5" lintel) into a 21’ long living room with exposed beams (5’10" height), views to garden, and inglenook; dining room; fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer) with door to back; step down to utility room (tumble drier) with shower cubicle, and separate loo. Ground floor bathroom (suite). Steepish stairs up to three bedrooms – a twin, and a single leading through to a double (hanging space in single room). TV/DVD. A homely, cosy cottage, ½ mile from two pubs.
